Christmas for my family is going to be very different this year! For my family, we will be celebrating Christmas a week earlier with most of my children, then with our extended family on Christmas Day, plus a week later with our daughter & her partner! CRAZY!! So, it had me thinking… if our Christmas is chaotic like this, then what about others??

So…I’ve had a think about it all, from planning the menu & food, to shopping for gifts — Christmas prep can be chaotic. Check out some of my tips & tricks to make sure that you and your family enjoy Christmas to the fullest!

The big shop

Between gifts, decorations and food, there’s a lot to consider when it comes to your Christmas shopping. Streamline your shopping to make things easier & LISTS, LISTS, LISTS are the best way to stay on top of what you have purchased! (unlike I did this year, & I now have a room full!)

Decorating

Try to buy all your décor from the same store. It’ll save time, and help you stay consistent. With us being away the week before, we’ve kept it very simple, but still in the spirit of Christmas, especially for my grand-children! For us, it will definitely be a beach theme & casual style as we will be right on the beach for our early event!

Food and drinks

Plan the food, & stock up on as many ingredients that you can, & buy ahead of time! When we gather on Christmas Day with our extended family, we always bring dishes to lessen the load & save just one or two people having to do it all!

Gifts

If you’re running out of time, or are perplexed about what to buy as a gift, try buying a few high-quality staples, such as PJs, chocolates and picture frames that you can gift to different family members or friends.

Most of all, enjoy every moment that you have with your family & friends! From my heart, to your heart “Merry Christmas”
